Considerations on the Ceramic Inventory
of the First Farming Comunities of the Banat Plain
Ciobotaru Dan
The Banat Plain, located in the westernmost area of Romania, was inhabited during Early Neolithic by farming communities which spread between Danube, Tisa and Mures rivers.
The analysis of the everyday life inventory of these settlements located in different areas on the Danube but also on the plain, should reveal the existence of presumed particular aspects of their inventory, resulting from a different background of the inhabitants or influences of local hunter/gatherer communities.
